Uri: The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection: Vicky Kaushal & Yami Gautam’s film JOINS Rs 100 crore club; becomes FIRST hit of 2019
New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer 'Uri: The Surgical Strike’, which hit the silver screens on January 11, has turned out to be a massive hit at the box office. The military drama has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. Trade pundits were expecting the film to do quite well and ‘Uri’ exceeded all the expectations. The film, which crossed the Rs 50 crore mark within five days of release, has achieved another feat.
The Aditya Dhar directorial has become the first blockbuster hit of 2019. The film has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club on Sunday. Bollywood trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh shared Uri’s box office collection on Twitter.

Sure, ₹ 100cr is *not* the yardstick to gauge the success of a film, but it should be celebrated when mid-sized films like #SKTKS, #Raazi, #Stree, #BadhaaiHo and #UriTheSurgicalStrike hit century...
