Did Ronnie Screwvala just confirm Shah Rukh Khan's exit from Saare Jahaan Se Achcha?
, the biopic of Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel in space, has been making headlines for almost two years now. After Aamir Khan opted out of the film to reportedly focus on his most ambitious project Mahabharata, Shah Rukh Khan came on board for the Mahesh Mathai directorial. But ever since the debacle of the superstar’s recent release Zero, reports have been doing the rounds that SRK has quit the film.
While the film’s writer Anjum Rajabali previously asserted that there was no truth to such reports, a cryptic tweet by producer Ronnie Screwvala suggests otherwise. Screwvala wrote, “Most times the difference between Success and Failure is not a better Idea or ability but the courage to BET on the idea, PRE PLAN to perfection, take the calculated RISK and then STICK WITH IT”. It looks like that Screwvala is not happy with SRK for leaving the project. Especially the last three words of his post are seemingly targeted at the superstar. There is no official confirmation on SRK’s exit from the film but a report on Peeping Moon claims that after the failure of Zero, the superstar was not willing to take the risk of doing an experimental film and therefore decided to opt out of it. Rumours are rife that King Khan may have chosen Don 3 over it. The Farhan Akhtar directorial will be the third installment in the fairly successful Don series.
